Program Trained Service Dogs

Our program trained dogs complete a 4-step process. Each process represents a phase of training along their way to becoming a fully trained service dog. These steps also help us to determine a price for each dog.

PHASE 1 -

Obtaining a service dog prospect. DHDT searches, locates, and obtains a suitable service dog prospect and brings said dog into our program. Ask us about our "prospect finding services"!

PHASE 2 -

Foundations and potty training. Foundations includes house manners, bite inhibition, luring, and more. Dogs can be sold at this stage as "started dogs" for a lower price.

Phase 4 -

Custom task training. This phase is all about making the dog YOURS. After matching you to a suitable candidate, we work closely with you to determine tasks that might aid assist you with your disability. After completion of this phase, your dog is a fully trained service dog!
